The Lightest Form of Flogging is a terrible podcast in which a casserole-loving baptist and a stodgy Presbyterian try to understand how they got to be the way they are.

The Lightest Form of Flogging

A podcast in which a stodgy Presbyterian and a casserole loving baptist discuss just how they got to be the way they are.

58: Tubing Down the Tiber

In this episode, Jim kicks us off by talking about emotions that have no English word—that is, emotions that the languages describe but that English cannot. After that, we of course have some follow up—but nothing about Kevin DeYoung. It’s the end of an era.

For our main topic, we discuss more emotions—specifically sadness and fear, but mostly sadness. We weren’t brave enough to get into fear. We talk about our experiences and David tries to understand where Jim is coming from when he talks about “feeling emotions.”
