The Lightest Form of Flogging is a terrible podcast in which a casserole-loving baptist and a stodgy Presbyterian try to understand how they got to be the way they are.

The Lightest Form of Flogging

A podcast in which a stodgy Presbyterian and a casserole loving baptist discuss just how they got to be the way they are.

It’s not a theology podcast. It’s so much worse.

18: Somersaulting Machine

We kick things off by talking about Shakespeare, the fear of not knowing how to use a word, and a radio theater version of church-greeting time.

For our main topic, have you ever seen something or someone and wanted to incorporate something about that into your personality? Not with this show, obviously, but with something good? In artistic fields, this is often called inspiration. In the field of animal psychology, it’s called imprinting. We decide to go full-on dog whisperer and discuss the people and things we’ve imprinted on throughout our lives. It’s way less interesting than it sounds, though.
